Switch Cover - Preventing Accidental Bumps

As mentioned by other members previously - I went with a slightly different install tactic and mounted it upside down so it’s easier to see and access the switches when opened. Found it awkward lifting it up the standard way, and this way I can do it one handed.

Sourcing

I used the 16 switch cover but have seen others use 18. If you don’t want to cover the main switch, the 10 works.

Installation

I removed all filler panels plus a portion of one side to make it tall enough to clear the switches - easy to score with a sharp Stanley knife.

Instead of using adhesive to mount it, I scanned the cover to make a drilling template and secured it with screws from behind the smart distribution box.

:bulb: If your awning stops responding to the switch after an accidental bump, see the Electric Cassette Awning - Reset After Switch Bump post.
